We are pleased to offer orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) as part of our comprehensive orthodontic care for children and adults across Dublin and Ireland.
Orofacial myofunctional therapy is a personalised programme of exercises that retrains the muscles of the tongue, lips and face to function correctly.

Many of our younger patients undergo palatal expansion before beginning myofunctional therapy.
Palatal expansion widens the upper jaw and creates the space needed for the tongue to rest naturally against the roof of the mouth. Myofunctional therapy then teaches the tongue and surrounding muscles how to function correctly within that new space.
