Achieving it requires demonstrating — through the submission and examination of treated cases, clinical knowledge, and peer review — that the clinician’s aligner outcomes meet the highest European standards of quality.
It is an evidence-based assessment of what a clinician actually delivers for patients, not a training course or a manufacturer certification. The fact that Dr Salloum is the only orthodontist in Ireland to hold this status means that patients at Lusk Orthodontics are receiving clear aligner treatment from Ireland’s most formally assessed aligner specialist.
Clear aligner treatment at Lusk Orthodontics starts from €4,500 for single-arch treatment. Fees vary depending on the complexity of your case and whether single-arch or dual-arch treatment is required. A detailed, itemised fee breakdown is provided at your consultation. Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, transparent trays that fit snugly over your teeth. Each aligner applies carefully controlled forces that gradually move the teeth through a series of incremental stages. You progress through the series — typically changing aligners every one to two weeks — until the planned tooth positions are reached.
For many adults, clear aligners are the preferred treatment option for several reasons.
A thorough clinical examination, photographs, and 3D digital scans are taken. Your suitability for aligner treatment is assessed, and all options are discussed.
Your case is planned using specialist software. You will be shown a digital simulation of the planned tooth movements and the expected result.
Your custom aligners are manufactured and typically ready within two to three weeks.
You wear each aligner for the prescribed number of days, then progress to the next. Check-up appointments are scheduled at regular intervals to monitor progress.
If further tooth movements are needed to achieve the ideal result, additional aligners (refinements) are planned and fabricated.
At the end of active treatment, retainers are provided to maintain the result long-term. This is a critical and lifelong phase of orthodontic care.

Modern aligner systems are capable of managing a wide range of orthodontic problems, including:
Advanced aligner therapy — using auxiliaries such as attachments, interproximal reduction, and precision bite ramps — extends the range of treatable cases significantly. Where a case falls outside the scope of aligners alone, fixed braces or a combination approach may be recommended.
Treatment length varies depending on the complexity of your case, but most adult treatments are completed within 12 to 24 months. Simpler cases may be shorter.
Aligners must be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day to achieve the planned tooth movements. Compliance is the single biggest factor in treatment success.
Aligners should be removed for eating and for any drink other than plain water. This protects both the aligners and your teeth.
